Bananas are an excellent base ingredient for face masks because they are high in Vitamin C, A, B6 and B12. They also contain potassium and magnesium. This recipe will take you approximately 30 minutes.
1. Puree one fresh banana
2. Mix 4 tbs milk
3. 1 tsp Grapeseed Oil
4. 1 tsp Honey
5. .5 tsp L-Ascorbic Acid (powder form)
Mix the ingredients very well. Keep them in a dark jar so light cannot penetrate. Light and oxygen will deterorate the mixture and its goodies.
Next .....
1. Steam your face. You can steam your face with a steamer, over the skin or a pot of boiling water. Get those pores open.
2. Lather on that mask. It might feel uncomfortable, this is because the L-Ascorbic Acid is penetrating the cell walls.
3. Keep this on your skin for at least 5 to 10 minutes.
4. Rinse off with cool water.
If you are doing this during the day, do not forget to put on sunscreen before going out.
